What you need

• 100g/ 150g Double Knitting Yarn in 3 colours
• 4mm (UK8) / 3.25mm (UK10)

Method

Main Part (Knitted Sideways)
Using 4mm Knitting Needles
Cast on 66sts (88sts) loosely
1st row Knit with Main Colour
2nd row Purl with Main Colour
3rd row Knit with 1st Contrast Colour
4th row Purl with 1st Contrast Colour
5th row Knit with 2nd Contrast Colour
6th row Purl with 2nd Contrast Colour
Working in Stocking Stitch throughout until work measures 24cms (28cms)
ending with 2nd row
Cast off loosely.
Using 3.25mm Knitting Needles
Pick up and knit 62sts (74sts) along side edge with Main Colour
1st row * P2 K2 rep from * to last 2sts P2
2nd row * K2 P2 rep from * to last 2sts K2
3rd row *P2 K2 rep from * to last 2sts P2 with 1st Contrast
4th row * K2 P2 rep from * to last 2sts K2
5th row *P2 K2 rep from * to last 2sts P2 with 2nd Contrast
6th row * K2 P2 rep from * to last 2sts K2
7th row *P2 K2 rep from * to last 2sts P2 with Main Colour
8th row * K2 P2 rep from * to last 2sts K2
Cast Off

Making Up
Fold hat in half stripes vertical
Sew up side edges
Make two tassels and attach to the top corner of hat
